P&C Meetings

P&C General Meetings are held at 7pm in the staffroom generally the second Monday of each month. Please email us (pandc@highfieldsss.edu.qld.gov.au) if you would like any information about meetings.

P&C Objective

The objectives of the Association are to promote the interests, and facilitate the development and further improvement of the school.

President chairs P&C Meeting to support activities that enable the objective to be achieved.

Principal consults with the school community to ensure the school continues to meet the communities’ needs and is required to ensure P&C fulfils their legislative requirements.

		This committee coordinates Book Club and helps in the selection of resources (re book selection etc) inconsultation with the Resource Management Committee.
	QCPCA	P&C Representative Sally Sainsbury
		The Queensland Council of Parents and Citizens Association (QCPCA) representative is responsible for collating, distributing and filing all information sent from the QCPCA during the year. If possible, the representative is required to go to local meetings - however as these meetings are held at locations that are distant from Highfields, we do not expect the representative to attend all meetings. P&C Notices

Fundraising

In 2009, the P&C expects to raise $25,000 from fundraising events. Funds raised by the P&C spent on the following priorities:

Top Dressing the Middle Oval $15,000
Goal Posts for the Middle Oval $5,500
Smart Moves Program $3,500
You Can Do It Program $1,000

Additional funds are raised through Tuckshop Food Days to update equipment and events are held to support students who represent the school in activities at State or National level. The school Chaplaincy Committee also holds some fundraising events each year.
